Valdosta EMAs – Hurricane Idalia

In early Fall 2023, Hurricane Idalia reached Valdosta, Georgia causing a devastating impact to nearby communities. The surrounding area experienced a county-wide power outage and severe flooding catapulting residents including disabled individuals, older residents, and children in difficult conditions. Local emergency management agencies alongside collaborating nonprofit organizations utilized Relief Compass to strategically stage their response and rapidly provide essential resources to the affected communities.
