About Us
Our Solution
Over the last couple of decades, nonprofit organizations and government agencies have struggled with persisting disruptions to the relief coordination process such as logistical insufficiencies and the lack of a reliable communication channel between survivors and responders.
Our application was conceptualized to combat these issues by creating a single platform where relief groups can efficiently stage their response, adeptly track data, and allow free community access to essential resources.
Driven by Empathy
We are founded on a deep understanding of human needs in a crisis.
Stronger Together
We empower communities by connecting those who need help with those who can give it.
Clarity in Chaos
We deliver simple, accessible solutions when life is most complex.
In the aftermath of a disaster, the search for necessities like water, food, or shelter can feel impossible. Having witnessed this frustration firsthand, we were driven by a single, powerful idea: to bridge the gap between those in need and the vital resources that could bring them safety. That’s the heart of Relief Compass—a belief that in a crisis, a helping hand should always be easy to find.
Our answer is a simple tool that empowers individuals to instantly share their needs and helps relief agencies coordinate their efforts. We are focused on solving the critical “last mile” challenge of disaster response. As a team of passionate problem-solvers, we are dedicated to being a beacon of hope in the storm.
Team
Jérôme Lebleu – Founder & Lead Strategist
For Jérôme, a logistics plan isn’t just data—it’s a lifeline. With a career dedicated to humanitarian action across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, he has spent years on the front lines of global crises. From fighting human trafficking to managing complex public health programs, Jérôme witnessed the same heartbreaking challenge time and again: even with abundant goodwill, critical aid often gets lost in the chaotic “last mile.”
He knew there had to be a better, smarter, more human way to connect resources to the people who need them most.
Relief Compass is his answer. It’s the tool he wishes he had during his years in the field—a culmination of his global experience, designed to cut through the noise and empower communities directly. It’s his lifelong mission transformed into action.
“In a crisis, the most valuable commodity is information and time,” Jérôme says. “If we can use technology to save a family from one hour of uncertainty, we’ve succeeded. That’s the core of what we do.”
Joseph Bucher – Co-Founder & Lead Architect
For Joseph, technology isn’t about data and code—it’s the most powerful tool for creating order out of chaos. With a career spanning nearly two decades in building high-stakes technology for healthcare, he mastered the art of creating systems that must perform flawlessly when it matters most. He knew these same principles could revolutionize disaster response.
As the technical brain behind Relief Compass, Joseph led the charge in transforming a visionary idea into a powerful, user-friendly application. He didn’t just build it from afar; he has been on the ground during major crises like the Maui wildfires and Hurricane Helene, supporting teams using the very tool he helped create. He excels in high-pressure environments, driven by the challenge of solving complex logistical puzzles to ensure help arrives where it’s needed.
“The right information at the right time is as vital as any physical supply,” Joseph says. “We built Relief Compass to work seamlessly under pressure, not just for the family seeking shelter, but for every single organization coordinating the response.”
