CORE – Rio Grande do Sul Floods

In May 2024, heavy flooding in southern Brazil devastated the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul leaving millions displaced and without proper access to necessary supplies and services. In response, CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) and their partners staged local relief efforts to provide crucial aid for affected communities in the region. CORE used Relief Compass to coordinate their response and  provide vital resources to locals amidst the disaster.

“Before Relief Compass, we had to manage all of our data manually making it difficult to coordinate our response in an emergency environment. Now we are able to intricately track user needs, location, and demographics making it easier to share that information with our collaborating partners and provide relief resources faster and more efficiently.”
